WHY VEGAN?
Vegan for the animals, the planet and health.
ENVIRONMENT
Animal agriculture is the number one contributor of environmental degradation. Animal agriculture is responsible for contributing to climate change through deforestation for land use, methane release from manure and livestock, burning fossil fuels for fertilizers used for crops and overall maintenance of animal production facilities.
ETHICS
Animals are sentient beings who have emotional attachments and deserve the right to live a full and happy life. Veganism is morally against the exploitation, suffering and slaughtering of animals. By participating in a vegan lifestyle, you are standing up for the voiceless and taking a stand against animal cruelty.
HEALTH
A balanced vegan diet can provide all the nutrients our bodies need to be healthy. According to Health BC, a vegan diet reduces the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, prostate cancer, colon cancer, type 2 diabetes and more. A vegan diet is widely known for being suitable for every age and stage of life.
